Actors' Shakespeare Project, in collaboration with the Harvard Square Business Association, is producing a birthday extravaganza for Mr. William Shakespeare on Saturday April 17th in Winthrop Park (Harvard Square) from 12:00pm to 6:00pm.

A.S.P. brings together arts partners, including Orfeo Group, A.R.T., Central Square Theatre, Cambridge Arts Council, Harvard Square Business Association, Moonship Productions, Hyperion, Revels, Boston Opera Collaborative, Improv Boston, Longy School of Music, and Shakespeare Now! from all over the city for the day's festivities.

The day begins with a parade originating in Central Square, continuing along Mass Ave. into Winthrop Park. A variety of festivities and performances will follow in Winthrop Park, hosted by each organization and culminating in a community reading of the balcony scene from Romeo and Juliet.

In addition to the festivities in Winthrop Park, performances will be happening simultaneously in bookstores throughout Harvard Square, and a Shakespeare Slam!, hosted in conjunction with Orfeo Group, will be held at John Harvard's Brew House, 33 Dunster Street starting at 3:00.

All events are free and open to the public. All ages are welcome.
