The 2015 Broadway revival of Fiddler on the Roof plays its final performance this afternoon, and I just wanted to give the show a proper farewell. This production absolutely crushed me. I thought it was visually stunning, profoundly moving, and full of outstanding performances—particularly Danny Burstein's award-winning Tevye. I am so grateful that Bartlett Sher's framing device was incorporated into my first Fiddler experience in the theatre. It was just so meaningful and thoughtful and heartrending. I was deeply impacted by this show, and I wish the happiest of trails to the entire cast and crew that has been at the Broadway Theatre over the past year!

I absolutely adored this production. Danny Burstein was incredible, and I would have given him the Tony.

Ditto.  I almost bypassed this one, as I'd felt "Fiddler"'d out.  But I'm glad I decided to see Danny Burstein's masterful performance.  In fact, the entire production dazzled--it was almost like seeing it for the first time; that's how fresh, alive and moving it was.  I wish it the best on its eventual tour.

Sad.  Great production. Have to wonder if it was in a smaller theater would it continue.

One of my favorite, if not my absolutely favorite, shows that I saw in 2016! I loved the production and casting from top to bottom, in particular Danny's exquisite performance. What an absolute joy to see him take on one of the greatest roles in the American theatrical canon and do it so brilliantly. I would have given him the Tony Award, too. Bart's vision for "Tradition" alone, from the villagers ascending the steps to make their entrance to the flying fiddler, made the production worthwhile. My only wish was that PS Classics had recorded this instead of Broadway Records so we could have had a two-disc set with the complete score and dialogue tracks, too.

I took my uncle, who had seen the original production many times, to see the show back in July and he thought it was fantastic - high praise from someone who cherishes the original.

I absolutely would've given Danny Burstein the Tony as well. I wonder what his next Broadway show is going to be. I also thought Bartlett Sher should've been Tony nominated for Best Direction of a Musical.

So very sad to see such a beautiful, fantastic production come to a close. So very thankful I got to see it before it did. Danny's Tony was so well deserved, what a performance!

I kept going back and forth whether to see the show, and I am so glad I did. What a great production!

Saw the Tuesday matinee. Was not on my radar at all, hubby recommended it. Wanted to see if for Danny Burstein since he was lively in Cabaret in 2014. Sadly, Danny was out for the matinee, his understudy the was good though. Loved the show, hope it tours to LA!

Happy to hear you were there, mint0621! Were there any special ovations/moments during the show, or remarks at the curtain call?

I was there today and it was lovely. Bartlett Sher came out and brought Sheldon Harnick on stage. They also gave a really sweet message to Danny, particularly praising what he brought to the role. They all danced at the very end too...it was touching.

What Tony? Burstein lost to Leslie Odom Jr.

those that missed, don't worry as it'll likely be on tour for the next 5 years then come back to Broadway by 2025.

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

Doubtful Danny will be a part of it.
