Ouch. Only 1 show up
The Visit & ISHBY should be pulling up stakes relatively soon. Somebody is pumping money into these big time. OTT may go after the Tonys unless it scores. Everybody took a hit . Cannot get much worse.

Shows that dipped only 1 or 2 percentage points from the previous week with its' Memorial day 3 day weekend look good in that context.
"Finding Neverland" , holding a million with only 1.6 percentage drop is actually quite impressive.

A lot of these numbers are really, really sad. I hadn't realized how low It Shoulda Been You's grosses have been. Also, I wonder how much longer Jersey Boys has.
A little swash, a bit of buckle - you'll love it more than bread.

Has Fish in the Dark announced recoupment yet? Considering it's making $1m a week, it must have happened already unless they're planning to announce it when Jason Alexander takes over.
Wolf Hall is doing pretty well despite only selling 50% of the Winter Garden but I do wonder if it'll recoup because it's due to close on July 5th unless they're planning on extending,

The remainder of David's run is essentially sold-out, so Fish in the Dark may wait until Jason Alexander takes over to announce recoupment to spread some positive buzz on a show that will likely drop out of the impressive numbers zone.
I'd bet Wolf Hall will extend if they win some Tonys, especially considering since School of Rock doesn't start until mid-late Fall.
Ouch all around. How OTT is still breathing beats me. Hedwig is hurting and The Visit/ISBY are quite sad at this point.

"Gigi" has to be hanging on by it's fingernails. After the Tonys I expect an announcement on that show with the dire news.

The King and I will be a moneymaker for LCT not just with Broadway but also the tour and potentially international production as South Pacific did.

I never doubted TK&I would be a money maker, I just figured subscriber numbers would keep their figures under $1M for the first few months, at least.

The drops probably look worse because Memorial Day weekend in the week before produced especially strong grosses, but yes these are pretty bad.
Why is "It Shoulda Been You" staying open? They don't have any nominations to get a Tony bump, unless they think the Tony performance will be a lucrative advertisment. Sad too, it was a delightful show.

Fun Home is indeed impressive and deserving of their steady sold-out houses. I am also glad to see Hand to God still on a slow but steady rise.
It was a tough week but we just got word that 2014-2015 was the most attended, highest grossing season record breaker. That's good news! And the next few weeks should be great all around, except for a few.

Disagree re Fun but everyone is entitled to their opinion.
There will be a bloodbath after the Tonys with The Visit,ISHBY and OTT early casualties.

If Kristin wins the Tony for best actress in a musical, (and her chances are as good as anyone's at this point) OTT gets added life, if OTT gets shut out then maybe we are talking trouble, but we are not there yet.

There is not a single ounce of significant news in this week's numbers: the shows that were sailing are still sailing, the shows that were doing OK are still doing OK and the shows that were bleeding are still bleeding. The anticipated drop off after the holiday only impacts the last group.

I think you mean OTTC, here?
I feel like Jersey Boys is at the point in their run where their few good weeks outweigh the bad ones. This year will be telling for them, but I'm positive they'll make it through the summer and probably even the new year, and then some. After that it's anyone's guess.

I think Jersey Boys has a few years left in it. It may not be selling out but I imagine it's still making profit or at the very least making running costs.
