The Phantoms traditionally are required to only do 7 shows a week. Basically, they get one "call in sick" day, which varies week to week, and sometimes they will do 8 shows I guess if they feel up to it.
I myself am dying to see JB in the role. However, if you wind up with Greg Mills instead of JB, you will see a top-notch Phantom. (I haven't seen the other covers, but I suspect they're also superb).
Audrey, the Phantom Phanatic, who nonetheless would rather be Jean Valjean, who knew how to make lemonade out of lemons.
James Barbour performs 8 shows a week as the Phantom & I will say first hand that he is a NOT MISS Phantom! His voice is remarkably soothing and crisp. But if for some reason he's out you'll see Greg Mills or Laird Mackintosh who are also AMAZING Phantoms

This is a very important question for me as well. I have tickets to see Phantom on September 5 at 2:00 p.m. I have seen the show 9 times already, and I am only seeing it again for James Barbour. I have tickets to see other shows at all other available times. I have tickets on that day at 8:00 p.m. to Hand to God. How early can you find out if James is performing or not? And, if you find out in time, do shows usually let you exchange tickets? And could I go to Hand to God and have them exchange my tickets for the matinee and change Phantom to 8:00 p.m.?
