Is Spider-man really banking on making that much $$ during late November-early January to make up for the past few weeks (and presumably the next few weeks)?
SPIDER-MAN even looks to have closed off about 350 seats, and they're still losing steam in the Grosses. January looks far away...
Words don't deserve that kind of malarkey. They're innocent, neutral, precise, standing for this, describing that, meaning the other, so if you look after them you can build bridges across incomprehension and chaos. But when they get their corners knocked off, they're no good anymore…I don't think writers are sacred, but words are. They deserve respect. If you get the right ones in the right order, you can nudge the world a little.
Soul Doctor only played 7 shows. So, it still made about what it does usually. Granted, I don't know anything about it, so I can't comment on that. And I'm not defending the low grosses as it not being in danger of closing. Just stating why it was so low, even though it isn't good.

Wow, Cinderella's grosses are quite low. Why the sudden drop?
"Noel [Coward] and I were in Paris once. Adjoining rooms, of course. One night, I felt mischievous, so I knocked on Noel's door, and he asked, 'Who is it?' I lowered my voice and said 'Hotel detective. Have you got a gentleman in your room?' He answered, 'Just a minute, I'll ask him.'" (Beatrice Lillie)
glad to see Once & Pippin bounce back after last week's poor grosses. Soul Doctor should be closed already. Only 15.5% gross potential. I have to wonder if First Date will try and stick around for the holidays. And Big Fish is pulling in decent numbers.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.
Patti Lupone FANATIC- the biggest drops occurred back in the beginning of August, with two consecutive weeks of 9% drops.
I still think they should block off the seats to reduce the capacity of the Broadway Theatre again, and then open them back up for the holiday season. Selling 8,500 seats out of 11,800 looks much better than out of 14,000.
