Having just seen Macbeth at the Barrymore Theater I realized that I have been to 38 out of the 40 Broadway Theaters. I have The Cort and Circle In The Square left to go to. I will definitely see No Man's Land/Waiting for Godot this fall and that will leave me with one more. What is your number?
Been to all except American Airlines, Vivian Beaumount, Belasco, Broadhurst, Circle in the Square, Cort, Samuel J. Freidman, Walter Kerr, Lyceum (Seeing the Nance Sunday), Minskoff, Schoenfeld, and Stephen Sondheim (Seeing the Trip to Bountiful Saturday). After this weekend only 10 more to go!

At one point, I counted over 20. But that was years ago. No idea now.
And I always pored through the "At This Theatre" section of the Playbill. I would imagine what it was like to sit in the same seat I was in and watch some of those incredible, classic shows.

Words don't deserve that kind of malarkey. They're innocent, neutral, precise, standing for this, describing that, meaning the other, so if you look after them you can build bridges across incomprehension and chaos. But when they get their corners knocked off, they're no good anymore…I don't think writers are sacred, but words are. They deserve respect. If you get the right ones in the right order, you can nudge the world a little.

I don't have any idea..I would have years of playbills to look through. So I am just going to say LOTS. It's also interesting to think about how many different shows we have seen at the same theaters.
Not to mention that some of the theaters have changed names. I had been to the Martin Beck theater years ago a number of times... and only recently realized it's the current Hirschfeld Theater.
Only 24. Interestingly, I have not been in any of the theaters on the north side of 45th street and most of the ones east of Broadway.
