I also saw it in Toronto, I agree, it will be a huge hit in NY. Have any of the Priscilla billboards gone up yet? How about those DIVAS, awsome voice of the show.
Can anyone here tell me if something special is going on Mon, May 30, 2011 @ 08:00 PM. Ticketmaster has that date listed but then indicates that no seats are available upon searching. It would be nice to see it that night as it's Memorial Day and I will be in town. Thanks

I bought my ticket last week for the first week in April. While deciding which shows to see on my trip I looked at several sites and clips of this show. It looks like it is going to be so much fun. I can't wait!
I loved this show in London and hope it does very well - I remain concerned, however, about whether the majority of the theatre going public will embrace this show's story about drag queens, one a post-op going cross country to see one of the draq queen's son. I, personally found the musical heartwarming and campy but I still worry about what the rest of America will think. I don't buy the comparison to Mama Mia.

Sorry Tag, but i wholeheartedly disagree with you on that one. Adams does an admirable job: he dances, he sings, he performs. But Tony Sheldon is the star of this production in all aspects. My review forthcoming.
I agree with Tag, Ashley Spencers solo in Girls Just Wanna Have Fun is amazing! I did enjoy Tony Sheldon more than Nick Adams but they both are wonderful in their roles! I can not stop listening to the Australian cast recording. I sure hope there is a Broadway recording!
I am still puzzled. Susan Dunstan was let go after the Toronto run, which leaves only one woman (Ellyn Marsh, Amazing) covering six roles. I was assuming they would hold auditions for a couple female swings, but no sign of one.
Will Swenson can make your teeth melt. Very aesthetically pleasing. All superficiality aside, this looks like it has the makings of a great show. Can't wait!
I don't remember where it was, one of these Priscilla threads, that someone mentioned that there weren't enough female swings and covers for Marion, Shirley, Cynthia, and divas. Well, who ever it was, you were right!
I saw the show 6 times here in Toronto. I originally had tickets for 1 show....but after seeing Nick Adams for the first time...I had to go many more times. Everyone in the show is amazing....but Nick truly made the whole show for me. I bought tickets to come to NY to see the show again.....can't get enough.
