Violinist Timothy Fain, seen on screen and heard on the soundtrack of the film "BLACK SWAN," makes his Atlanta debut in a free concert presented by the Emory Chamber Music Society of Atlanta (ECMSA) on Sunday May 5 at 4 p.m. in Emory's Schwartz Center for Performing Arts.

The program features Vivaldi's Four Seasons, performed by the Society Chamber Orchestra, with Fain as soloist. Also celebrating Cinco de Mayo, the Vega String Quartet will perform "Suite Latina" by composer and Atlanta Symphony Orchestra violinist Juan Ramirez. A champagne and cake reception is included at intermission, to celebrate a successful 20th anniversary season for ECMSA.

Timothy Fain
With his adventuresome spirit and vast musical gifts, violinist Tim Fain has emerged as a mesmerizing new presence on the music scene. The "charismatic young violinist with a matinee idol profile, strong musical instincts, and first rate chops" ("Boston Globe") was seen on screen and heard on the soundtrack of the film "BLACK SWAN" as well as heard on the film "Bee Season" with Richard Gere. Selected as one of "Symphony" and "The Strad" magazines' "Up-and-Coming Musicians," Fain captured the Avery Fisher Career Grant and a Young Concert Artists International Award.

Fain has appeared as a soloist with symphonies around the world and has performed in recitals at the Ravinia Festival, Kennedy Center and many more. He currently tours the US and Europe with Philip Glass, and is scheduled to perform with Glass at the Schwartz Center this fall, Sept. 27. Read more about Fain: http://www.timfain.com
