Patrons will thrill to music from the Big Band Era all the way to Funk and Rock classics of the 70s and 80s at Aurora Swing Nights: Funktacular! concert tonight, June 21 at 8:00pm. Now a summertime tradition, this upbeat edition of the popular Swing Night concert series will feature the Metro Jazz Club performing a memorable array of rock 'n roll songs.

Aurora Swing Nights features the Metro Jazz Club, a smokin'-hot 17 piece band dedicated to the preservation of some of the best music ever composed. Led by jazz sax man Gary Dalton, Metro Jazz Club has two amazing vocalists, velvety crooner Jason Joines and zesty diva Amanda Richards.

The concert event will also feature the remarkable Galen Crawley. This Brookwood grad has been the leading lady in musicals on stages all over metro Atlanta, most recently Princess Fiona in Shrek the Musical at the Alliance Theatre. Patrons will be excited to catch a glimpse of Galen as she will be playing the title role of Mary Poppins in the opener for Aurora's 19th Season beginning July 17.

Also joining the band will be recording artist Eric Moore (Christmas Canteen), a soulful tenor whose voice will lift your spirit and take you back to the 70's in style.
