Children's Opera - Capitol City Opera presents Hansel & Gretel at the Hapeville Performing Arts Center

The Capitol City Opera and Academy Theatre present Englebert Humperdincks's opera based on the classic tale! This is a great opera event for the entire family! After the show the actors will come out and meet with audience members.

He foresaw the possibility of a "cold war", a time of tensions and uncertainty with both major powers possessing doomsday weapons and increasingly itchy trigger fingers.
We approached the brink of nuclear war in 1962 and stepped back. Witness now the prescience of the Dean of Science Fiction, who saw it coming in 1941. Follow a chain of events extraordinary, leading to a problem unprecedented and a "Solution Unsatisfactory."
