[title of show] creators/stars Jeff Bowen and Hunter Bell are writing a new sitcom for ABC, according to the New York Times.

The as-of-yet-untitled half-hour show is being developed with Marc Cherry, creator of "Desperate Housewives." Also onboard for the show are executive producer Sabrina Wind and Michael Berresse (Director/Choreographer of [title of show])

Th TV show is said to be in the early stages of development. Bowen told the NY Times the new show would not be a musical and is not based on [title of show].

Bowen adds that there are no plans for him or Hunter Bell to be in the cast. Not yet, at least," he said.

Off and On Broadway, [title of show] was comprised of Hunter Bell, Jeff Bowen, Susan Blackwell, Heidi Blickenstaff and Larry Pressgrove. Hailed as "a fresh new musical worth cheering," by the New York Times [title of show] began its journey at the New York Music Theater Festival. A backstage musical in the tradition of Kiss Me Kate and A Chorus Line, the "sly, sassy and inspired" show, according to Entertainment Weekly ran for 201 performances at Broadway's Lyceum Theater.
