Actor/director and noted August Wilson interpreter Ruben Santiago-Hudson directs a revival staging of Wilson's Pulitzer Prize-winning THE PIANO LESSON tonight as part of a live webcast series presenting the ten 20th century cycle plays by the two-time Pulitzer-winner, following successful presentations of Ma Rainey'S BLACK BOTTOM and FENCES last month as well as JOE TURNER'S COME AND GONE last week.

The official description of THE PIANO LESSON is as follows: "The Piano Lesson is set in 1936 Pittsburgh during the aftermath of the Great Depression. The play deals with themes of family legacy, and tells the story of the Charles family and a brother and sister who have different ideas on what to do with the piano they own - keep or sell it."

Ruben Santiago-Hudson's production of THE PIANO LESSON stars Brandon J. Dirden, Roslyn Ruff, James A. Williams, Jason Dirden, Alexis Holt, Eric Lenox Abrams, Chuck Cooper and Mandi Masden.

The next plays to be presented in the series will be TWO TRAINS RUNNING on Wednesday, September 11, and SEVEN GUITARS on Friday, September 13. More information on the series is available here.
