Broadway couple Will Swenson and Audra McDonald, who shared the stage in 2007's 110 in the Shade, officially got engaged back in January over New Year's weekend.

Today, PEOPLE reports that the couple were wed on Saturday night, October 6, 2012 at their home in Croton-on-Hudson, New York. The couple tells PEOPLE that they look forward to their new life together as husband, wife and "wee posse of three."

Swenson has appeared on Broadway in Lestat, 110 in the Shade and Brooklyn. He created the role of Stacee Jaxx in the musical Rock of Ages off-Broadway. In 2008, Swenson played Berger in The Public Theatre's revival of Hair in Central Park. He then went on to reprise the role when the production moved to Broadway in March 2009, a performance for which he received a Tony nomination. He most recently starred as Mitzi/Tick in Priscilla Queen of the Desert at the Palace Theatre on Broadway.

McDonald became a three-time Tony Award winner by the age of 28 — for her performances in Carousel, Master Class, and Ragtime. McDonald appeared as Lizzie in the Roundabout Theatre Company's 2007 revival of 110 in the Shade, directed by Lonny Price at Studio 54, for which she shared the Drama Desk Award for Best Actress in a Musical with Donna Murphy. She most recently starred opposite Norm Lewis in The Gershwins' Porgy and Bess.

Congratulations to the happy couple!
