Courteney Cox, Julianne Hough, Vanessa Hudgens, Nick Jonas and Lindsey Vonn are set to take on the great outdoors on the upcoming season of NBC's adventure series "Running Wild with Bear Grylls."

Courteney Cox, who is set to travel to Ireland with Grylls, gained overnight fame as Monica Gellar on NBC's Emmy Award-winning comedy "Friends." For six seasons, Cox was seen in her Golden Globe-nominated role on "Cougar Town," which she also executive produced and directed. She has starred in the hit horror comedy franchise "Scream," as well as "Mother's Day," "Ace Ventura: Pet Detective," "Bedtime Stories," "3000 Miles to Graceland," "Mr. Destiny," "Cocoon: The Return," "The Longest Yard" and "Barnyard."

Julianne Hough, who will travel to AFRICA with Grylls, is an actress, dancer and lifestyle entrepreneur. She recently starred in the acclaimed "Grease: Live!" telecast and is a two-time professional champion and Emmy Award-winning choreographer for "Dancing With the Stars."

Vanessa Hudgens will venture to the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Most recently Hudgens received critical praise for her role as Rizzo in "Grease Live." Hudgens has also starred in several films, including "Spring Breakers" and "Sucker Punch." Hudgens will star this fall in the new NBC comedy "Powerless."

Also traveling with Grylls to Sierra Nevada is Nick Jonas, who currently stars on the critically-acclaimed DirectTV series "Kingdom" and will next be seen in the indie film "Goat" this fall. Jonas will release his upcoming album, "Last Year Was Complicated," as well as kick off his multi-city North American tour in June.

Alpine skier and Olympic gold medalist Lindsey Vonn will also go to Ireland. She has won four World Cup overall titles and won the downhill at the 2010 Olympics, the first time an American woman captured gold in this event. This year Vonn won her 20th World Cup title and crystal globe, setting an all-time record for men or women.

Last summer, "Running Wild with Bear Grylls" averaged a 1.4 rating, 4 share in adults 18-49 and 4.0 million viewers overall according to "live plus seven day" figures from Nielsen Media Research. "Running Wild" remained undefeated through the summer in the Monday 10-11 p.m. ET time period versus regular ABC and CBS competition in adults 18-49. A special Dec. 17, 2015 edition featuring President Barack Obama averaged a 1.3 rating in adults 18-49 and 4.7 million viewers overall (L+7), building by +86% on its 18-49 lead-in.

"Running Wild with Bear Grylls" is produced by Electus and Bear Grylls Ventures. Grylls will serve as executive producer along with Ben Silverman, Chris Grant, Laura Caraccioli, Viki Cacciatore and Delbert Shoopman.
