Stage and screen stud Neil Patrick Harris stopped by HuffPost Live to talk about his ritual in getting into character as HEDWIG, and the similarities between the characters of Hedwig and How I Met Your Mother's Barney Stinson. It was just announced that the Broadway revival of HEDWIG, which last month received four Tony Awards, has recouped. HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH, the musical with book by John Cameron Mitchell and music and lyrics byStephen Trask, directed by Michael Mayer won four Tony Awards including Best Musical Revival, Best Actor (Neil Patrick Harris), Best Featured Actress (Lena Hall), and Best Lighting (Kevin Adams). In addition, the production has been honored with Best Musical Revival by the Drama Desk, Drama League, and Outer Critics Circle Awards.

HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH started previews Saturday, March 29 at the Belasco Theatre and opened Tuesday, April 22. In the show, "internationally ignored song stylist" Hedwig Robinson (Neil Patrick Harris) brings her fourth-wall-smashing rock and roll saga to New York to set the record straight about her life, her loves, and the botched operation that left her with that "angry inch." The members of "The Angry Inch," Hedwig's band, are music director Justin Craig (guitar and keyboards), Matt Duncan (bass), Tim Mislock (guitar), and Peter Yanowitz (drums).

Starting Wednesday, August 20, Tony Award nominee Andrew Rannells will take over the role of Hedwig joining Tony Award winner Lena Hall as Yitzhak.
