WWD reported that a bag recovered on the island of Curaçao, in the Caribbean Sea, may help focus the search for the small plane carrying Vittorio Missoni and five others that went missing on Jan. 4.

The Italian paper Corriere della Sera reported that the bag, belonging to Italian tourist Giorgio Neri, had been stowed on Missoni's plane. Neri left Los Roques, Venezuela, for Caracas aboard a different airplane that left a few minutes after Missoni's but there had no room aboard his plane for his bag, which carried equipment to kitesurf.

A Missoni spokeswoman confirmed that the family is aware of the finding.

"They are not drawing any conclusion. This is simply another piece of an already complex puzzle," said the spokeswoman.
