Robert Peterpaul Productions announced that it will present a "Musical Theatre Master Class with Orfeh" today, September 16th, from 7PM to 9PM in New York City. The event will aim to assist aspiring musical theatre performers in honing their craft.

The class is limited to 15 students, but also accepting "audience members." Participants will have the opportunity to perform two contrasting musical theatre pieces for Orfeh and receive individual feedback directly from her! They will then have the opportunity to ask Orfeh their questions about her career, the industry and more (maybe even find out the secret to bend and snapping?).

You won't want to miss this fun opportunity with a Broadway powerhouse! CLASS DESCRIPTION:

Orfeh will begin this Musical Theatre Master Class by teaching a quick lesson/overview on the basics of the theatre industry/ her career. Students will have prepared 16 to 32 bars of two of their best contrasting musical theatre audition songs. Each student will then "mock audition" for Orfeh (she will pick which song) and the rest of the students in a loving, SAFE and non-judgmental atmosphere. After each "audition", Orfeh will provide invaluable constructive criticism and praise steering the student into the right direction. Once each student has had the chance to "audition", we will open up the floor for a "Q and A" with Orfeh.

LOCATION:

Midtown, NYC - TBD

ABOUT ORFEH:

A Tony-nominated Broadway star with talent to spare, Orfeh has taken the stage by storm with acclaimed roles in Legally Blonde and Love, Loss, and What I Wore. As a veteran singer, dancer, and actress, Orefh is a true powerhouse performer: she is a veritable triple-threat whose tiny frame packs a huge presence.

Her multi-octave voice and penchant for skillful songwriting have made her a dance chart favorite. Formerly the front-woman of the group Or-N-More, Orfeh has gone on to release a successful solo album on Sh-K-Boom Records entitled What Do You Want From Me. What Do You Want From Me brims with big hooks, upbeat tunes, and playful lyrics that make for a truly feel-good album.

Orfeh also starred in the stage adaptation of Nora Ephorn's Love, Loss, and What I Wore at Manhattan's renowned Westside Theater. The production was honored with a 2010 Broadway.com Audience Award as well as a prestigious Drama Desk Award. It is performed by a rotating cast of five all-star actors, who perform in five-week cycles

Beyond Broadway and the Billboard Charts, Orfeh has also taken on television: she has appeared in a long list of TV favorites, showing her versatility on TV mega- hits ranging from Sex and the City to Law and Order to Chappelle's Show.

On the silver screen, Orfeh appeared in Julie Taymor's movie musical masterpiece Across the Universe, proving that she can hold her own just as well on the silver screen as she can on the small screen, in the recording studio, or on the stage. Last year she co-starred in a film called Sleeping with the Fishes along side Golden Globe nominee Gina Rodriguez. Most recently she starred in Life of an actress the musical.

She has been married to fellow Tony nominated Broadway star, Andy Karl for over ten years, and fittingly, the two met while performing in Saturday Night Fever together in 2001. As a Broadway power couple, the duo have also appeared together in Broadway hits such as Me and Mrs. Jones, Nights on Broadway II, Bright Lights, Big City, and Legally Blonde the Musical. It was Orfeh's breakout role as manicurist Paulette in Legally Blonde earned her a Tony nomination. Karl played her love interest, Kyle.

Orfeh resides in NY with her husband and pets.
