The Producers and RENT Films Up for Broadcast Film Critics Awards

Both THE PRODUCERS and RENT received nominations for Broadcast Film Awards. RENT received nominations for Best Acting Ensemble, Best Sountrack, and for Best Song (Seasons of Love). THE PRODUCERS was nominated for Best Comedy Movie, and Best Soundtrack.

The awards will be given out on January 9, 2006 on the WB Television network.

The Critics' Choice Awards are bestowed annually by the Broadcast Film Critics Association to honor the finest in cinematic achievement. Nominees for 2005 were be selected by written ballots in a week-long voting period ending on midnight December 9th and were announced on December 11th. The winners will be revealed at the 11th annual Critics' Choice Awards ceremony on January 9th at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium, which will be broadcast live on The WB Television Network. Special awards are given out at the discretion of the BFCA Board of Directors..
