From acclaimEd Scottish theater company Visible Fictions (Jason and the Argonauts, New Vic 2009), comes The Mark of Zorro, a thrilling tale about a mysterious masked avenger. By using simple props and physical ingenuity, the cast of three whizzes through a multitude of characters, conjuring all the drama, wit and suspense of an action flick. The Mark of Zorro will run at The New Victory Theater, 209 West 42nd Street, from tonight, February 8 through February 24, 2013.

The Mark of Zorro script was originally commissioned in 2009 by and co-produced with the renowned Traverse Theatre in Edinburgh, Scotland. In the United States, Visible Fictions has collaborated with The Seattle Children's Theatre, The Mark Taper Forum in Los Angeles and The Children's Theatre Company in Minneapolis.

The Mark of Zorro is written by Davey Anderson and directed by Douglas Irvine. Production design is by Robin Peoples, music composition is by David Trouton, lighting design is by James Gardner, and costume design is by Emily Raemaekers. The cast features Richard Conlon, Claire Dargo and Jonathan Holt.

Following its run at The New Victory Theater, the show will perform in Colorado Springs, CO (March 14), Pueblo, CO (March 16), Parker, CO (March 17), Austin, TX (March 20-21), and Orange, TX (March 22-23).

The Mark of Zorro is recommended for everyone 7 and older.
