It's two great shows in one when musical legends Denny Laine and Chad & Jeremy appear at the Capitol Center for the Arts (CCA)'s Spotlight Café on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at 7:30PM. Tickets are currently on sale at just $28.00 general admission.
Chad and Jeremy lead off the night with a selection of their greatest hits. From 1964 to 1968, Chad & Jeremy had eleven hit US singles (including "A Summer Song", "Yesterday's Gone", "Willow Weep for Me", and "Distant Shores") and released seven classic albums. At the end of the 1960s, they went their separate ways - Jeremy returning to London to become an actor on the stage and screen; Chad pursuing a career behind the scenes in the music business. In the last decade, the reunited duo have been thrilling audiences across the globe with their unique mixture of hits and wit. After that, Denny Laine of the Moody Blues and Wings takes the stage with a 40th anniversary tour of "Wings Over America." Mr. Laine co-founded Wings with Paul and Linda McCartney. You may also remember him from the Moody Blues and his impassioned lead vocal on the 1965 worldwide smash "Go Now". (See below for a YouTube video combining these "past lives.") The sold-out U.S. leg of the 1976 "Wings Over the World " tour helped carry the' "Silly Love Songs" single and "Wings at the Speed of Sound" album to number one on their respective charts. From the tour came the film "Rock Show" and the number one triple album set "Wings over America". Spotlight Cafe attendees can expect to hear "Live and Let Die", "Say You Don't Mind", "Jet", "Go Now", "Time to Hide", "Band On The Run", "Picasso's Last Words", "Venus and Mars/Rock Show", "Spirits of Ancient Egypt", "Richard Cory", and more.Videos
