TNT Salutes Orbach with a Month of 'Law & Order' Episodes

Jerry Orbach, the late Tony Award-winner who also garnered millions of fans for his work on "Law & Order," will be honored by TNT with a month of episodes of that show. 

Beginning on October 2nd and lasting throughout the month, "I Love Lennie" will pay tribute to Orbach, who played Detective Lennie Briscoe on the perenially popular crime show.  Orbach, who died on December 28th, 2004, would have turned 71 on October 20th.

There will be back-to-back episodes airing on Mondays 8-11 PM (ET) and Tuesdays 8 PM-midnight (check local listings.)  There will also be daytime episodes airing on October 2-6 at 2 and 3 PM that will follow important moments in the life and career of Lennie Briscoe.

Orbach was a beloved Broadway leading man who originated roles in Carnival, Promises, Promises (for which he won a Tony Award), 42nd Street and Chicago. He also appeared on Broadway in Threepenny Opera, The Natural Look, the 1966 revival of Annie Get Your Gun, and the 1965 revival of Guys and Dolls, among others. His many other film and TV credits included "Murder, She Wrote," Crimes and Misdemeanors, Last Exit to Brooklyn and Brewster's Millions.
