The longest-running show in Broadway history, the Cameron Mackintosh/The Really Useful Group production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera, directed by Harold Prince, reaches another unprecedented milestone when it celebrates its Twenty-Eighth Anniversary tomorrow, Tuesday, January 26, 2016. On that day, the musical will play performance #11,649 at The Majestic Theatre (247 West 44th Street).

In its 28 Years, the New York production has played over 11,600 performances to nearly 17 million people. One of the most successful stage productions of all-time, PHANTOM's astounding longevity in New York and around the world is unprecedented.

Beginning tomorrow, January 26, the producers are launching a Daily Digital Lottery - the production's first ever ticket lottery. In honor of the 28th Anniversary, tickets are priced $28 each. Entries can be submitted each day at www.PhantomBroadwayLottery.com.

For matinee performances, entries must be submitted by 11AM; and for evening performances by 3PM. Winners will be notified via email or text by 11:30 AM for matinees and 3:30 PM for evenings and may purchase up to two tickets. Winners must bring a photo ID to claim their tickets at the box office at least two hours before the performance. The lottery will be good for all eight of the musical's weekly performances. The front row of the Orchestra is among the ticket locations.

Based on the classic novel Le Fantôme de L'Opéra by Gaston Leroux, The Phantom of the Opera tells the story of a masked figure who lurks beneath the catacombs of the Paris Opera House, exercising a reign of terror over all who inhabit it. He falls madly in love with an innocent young soprano, Christine, and devotes himself to creating a new star by nurturing her extraordinary talents and by employing all of the devious methods at his command.

PHANTOM currently stars James Barbour (The Phantom), Julia Udine (Christine) and Jeremy Hays (Raoul) and co-stars Laird Mackintosh (Monsieur André), Craig Bennett (Monsieur André), Michele McConnell (Carlotta), Ellen Harvey (Madame Giry), Christian Šebek (Piangi) and Kara Klein (Meg Giry).
