Brian Hampton's comedy, The Jungle Fun Room premieres this Saturday, Aug. 15th as a part of the 13th Annual New York International Fringe Festival - FringeNYC.

The Jungle Fun Room centers around a group of struggling actors who spend their days working children's birthday parties at the New York City Zoo.

When an eager new worker arrives fresh off the musical theatre conservatory boat, followed by the birthday girl's Oscar-winning Mom, it throws all involved into an emotional and hysterical loop where they're faced with past and present realties of their roles in show business and in life.

The Jungle Fun Room features Brian Hampton as Screg, Beverly Lauchner as Hillary Parker, Carter Calvert (Broadway's Ain't Nothin' But the Blues) as Shelly, Kim Goldfeder as Eve, Trey Mitchell as Trevor, and Paul Nugent as the voice of Jackson. It's directed by

film director, Sam Zalutsky (You Belong to Me, Superstore)

The Jungle Fun Room was the winner of the Audience Favorite Award at the 2008 Penobscot Theatre's Northern Writes New Play Festival and received free presentations this year at The Creative Center at the Manhattan Theatre Club and part of the Friday Night Footlights series at the Dramatist Guild.
