Submissions Open for 2013 NYC Cabaret Festival

Coming this fall, September 23-October 5, 2013, The NYC Cabaret Festival will feature a wide variety of cabaret performance on three stages. Bringing together emerging artists with seasoned pros performing for dedicated cabaret fans side by side with a whole new generation exposed to the wonders of the NYC Intimate stage.

The Broadway Café features an intimate 60-seats showroom with Grand Piano. Every night will feature 2-3 shows of Prime Time Professional Artists, Small ensembles, New Talent Showcase and Late night fun. The Café lounge is open 5pm daily to meet and greet other artists and fans and collect information on upcoming shows. The 75-seat Red Room, home to three of New York's top comedy troupes, will feature Improv, Sketch, Magic, Jazz and more. The Main Stage, featuring Professional All Star Comedy (Broadway Comedy Club, 150 seats) will host a few special guest star performances and larger acts. Full schedule of shows, classes and galas will be post September 1.

It is not too late to participate. Producers are still taking submissions from Self-contained acts, emerging artists and student artists. Singers, Songwriters, Musicians, Revues, Jazz Ensembles, Comics, Improv, Sketch, Variety and burlesque are all welcome. Every artist will perform at least two shows during the festival. There is room for Self Contained Acts (60-75 minute shows), Headlining Artists (15-30 minute sets) and Showcasing Talent (5-10 minutes sets). There is no fee to apply or participate (Except for singers/musicians that require festival pianists). This festival is about the artists and fans!!! Main Stage / Self Contained acts will receive a portion of the door as compensation. Check out the website for the latest developments for booking talent.
