On Monday, November 21, 2016, Broadway Dreams will host its annual New York City Showcase - the organization's cornerstone programming event that affords select students the once-in-a-lifetime chance to turn their dreams into realities as they perform for key industry professionals.

More than 70 participants from year-round Broadway Dreams intensives across the United States, Canada, Russia, and Brazil will come together in performances conceived and directed by Broadway professionals, including Nick Adams, Stafford Arima, Craig D'Amico, Drew Fornarola, Christopher J. Hanke, Spencer Liff, Alex Newell, Marshall Pailet, Otis Salid, and Matthew Scott.

The 2016 Broadway Dreams Showcase will be held at The Stanley H. Kaplan Penthouse, Samuel B. & David Rose Building, 70 Lincoln Center Plaza (165 West 65th Street), New York, New York 10023.

"The Broadway Dreams Showcase exhibits the very best of our students here in the US. We have recently expanded our scope to include programming in Brazil and Russia and will have students joining us from countries as near as Canada and as far as Lebanon," said Annette Tanner, Broadway Dreams Founder and President. "For the past decade we have scoured the country, and now the world, looking for the next generation of Broadway stars. We have found the future of musical theatre, and we cannot wait for the industry to see them."

Broadway Dreams students will travel from all areas of the globe to participate in the organization's 2016 showcase, including four students from Russia. In April 2016, Broadway Dreams traveled a team of Broadway professionals to offer a 10-day master class program in Moscow, marking the first time in the country's history that Broadway professionals offered this kind of programming. Over 100 professional and aspiring Russian performers participated in the ground-breaking program which united performers from each country in a public performance at Russia's Rossiya Theatre. Unlike most Broadway Dreams programs, a majority of the students were already established musical theatre performers and stars in Russia. The four artists participating in the NYC Showcase are Elmira Divaeva (Dance of the Vampires), Elena Albul (Cinderella), Maxim Kosolapov (Cinderella), and Artem Lyskov.

Millikin University will award a full-tuition scholarship to a deserving student who has participated in Broadway Dreams Summer Programs, workshops and residencies. Millikin University President Dr. PatRick White and Millikin University alumni and Broadway star Sierra Boggess, will present the scholarship at the NYC Showcase.

"We are very excited for this opportunity to partner with Broadway Dreams to choose one deserving student from an immensely talented international pool to join our national-ranked School of Theatre and Dance," said Millikin University President Dr. PatRick White. "This partnership is one more visible sign of the wide scope and impact of Millikin University's reputation and the high regard that professionals in numerous fields have for Millikin's Performance Learning. Millikin and Broadway Dreams will benefit greatly from this partnership as we add to our talent pool and the fame of Millikin."
