The American Musicals Project (AMP), a creative educational curriculum that promotes the study of history and English through musical theater to seventh and eighth grade students, presents a month-full of marvelous show tune and concerts, featuring the best of Broadway actors and veterans.

Every year the American Musicals Project celebrates great composing artists of the musical theater in a series of live concerts at the New-York Historical Society, hosted by theater luminaries and sung by Broadway performers.

In All Kander…and Ebb, The Music Of John Kander and Fred Ebb
March 3 at 7PM

John Kander and Fred Ebb kick off its annual Concert Series on March 3 at 7PM at the New-York Historical Society (170 Central Park West, at 77th Street).  Paul Schoeffler, Lynne Wintersteller, Nancy Anderson and Matt Cavanaugh will perform classic Kander & Ebb works from musicals such as Cabaret, Curtains, Chicago and Fosse. The evening will be hosted by Howard Kissell, Cultural Editor of the Daily News, and directed by Pamela Hunt, the award-winning director of Musical of Musicals.

The Master, Sir Noel songs from selected works
March 10 at 7PM

The Master, Sir Noel is a commemoration of the recently published The Letters of Noel Coward, and celebrates the man who was the epitome of what it meant to be British in the 20th Century. The works will be directed by Simon Jones and performed by some of the most talented singers of our time; Steve Ross, Nancy Anderson and KT Sullivan. Hello, Jerry!
March 17 at 7PM

Lee Roy Reams, who frequently performs Jerry Herman songs, along with Karen Munson will perform some of the most memorable show tunes from Herman's musical portfolio including songs from Hello, Dolly!, Mame, La Cage Aux Folles and more.  Also featuring Karen Mason; Director Lee Roy Rams; Musical Director James Followell; Series Producing Director Pamela Hunt.

Fantasia for Sondheim
March 31

The American Musicals Project (AMP) presents its annual benefit gala: Fantasia for Sondheim, on March 31 at the New-York Historical Society, 170 Central Park West (at 77th Street). Benefit reception begins at 6:30 PM with concert to follow at 7:30 PM.

Elaine Stritch leads a shining cast singing an array of Stephen Sondheim works including memorable songs from shows such as West Side Story, Into the Woods and A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. Pamela Hunt will direct the performance with arrangements by the young composer-arranger Sam Davis. Judy Blazer, Bob Cuccioli and Jonathan Rayson are scheduled to perform.
