Stephen Spinella and Jayne Atkinson, who were seen on stage together in the revival of Our Town, will join the cast of "24," the Fox "real time" suspense hit that stars Keifer Sutherland as agent Jack Bauer.

Atkinson has been cast as Karen Hayes, a Homeland Security official, while Spinella will play Miles, Karen's subordinate.

The new season of "24" will kick off on January 15th and 16th with a two-part special; each episode, beginning at 8 PM, will last two hours.

Atkinson received Tony Award nominations for her work in Enchanted April and The Rainmaker, while other credits include Ivanov, Tru and All My Sons.  Spinella is a Tony Award-winner for his performances in Angels in America: Millenium Approaches and Angels in America: Perestroika.  Other Broadway credits include James Joyce's The Dead (for which he received a Tony nomination), Electra and A View from the Bridge.

In addition to Sutherland, Atkinson and Spinella, "24" will feature returning stars Carlos Bernard, Roger Cross, Gregory Itzin, James Morrison, Louis Lombardi, Mary Lynn Rajskub and Kim Raver, as well as new stars Connie Britton. Brady Corbet,  Sean Astin, Julian Sands, and JoBeth Williams, Peter Weller, and Jean Smart--the latter two are also stage veterans.
