Stanley Tucci, Ian McShane, et al. Join Cast of JACK THE GIANT KILLER Film

According to the Hollywood Reporter, stage veterans  Nicholas Hoult, John Kassir, Ewan McGregor, Ian McShane, Bill Nighy, and Stanley Tucci are on board for New Line/Legendary's 'Jack the Giant Killer.' The movie will be written by Darren Lemke and directed by Bryan Singer.

Tucci made his Broadway debut in The Queen and the Rebels on September 30, 1982. Tucci is known for his work in films such as The Pelican Brief, Kiss of Death, Road to Perdition and Big Night, and in the television series Murder One as the mysterious Richard Cross. He also received a Screen Actors Guild Award nomination for Winchell. He was nominated for Broadway's Tony Award as Best Actor in a Play for his role as Johnny in the 2002 revival of Terrence McNally's Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune.

McGregor starred alongside Jane Krakowski, Douglas Hodge, and Jenna Russell as Sky Masterson, in the original Donmar Warehouse production of Guys and Dolls in London at the Piccadilly Theatre. He was nominated for a Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actor in a Musical for the role. From December 2007 to February 2008, McGregor starred as Iago in Othello at the Donmar Warehouse alongside Chiwetel Ejiofor as Othello and Kelly Reilly as Desdemona.

McShane starred as Max in the 40th anniversary Broadway revival of Harold Pinter's The Homecoming, co-starring Eve Best, Raul Esparza, and Michael McKean and directed by Daniel Sullivan, at the Cort Theatre.  He has starred in BBC's Lovejoy (1986-94) and particularly in the HBO Western drama Deadwood (2004-06). In 2009 he starred in the NBC series Kings as King Silas Benjamin.

Nighy made his Broadway debut at the Music Box Theatre alongside Julianne Moore in The Vertical Hour, directed by Sam Mendes. He also starred in Tom Stoppard's Arcadia (1993), and Joe Penhall's Blue/Orange (2000), for which he won an Olivier Award nomination for Best Actor, and which transferred to the West End at the Duchess Theatre the following year.

Kassir originated the role of Kenny in Three Guys Naked From The Waist Down, for which he was nominated for both a Drama Desk and an Outer Critics Circle award. John also originated the role of Ralph in the musical Reefer Madness, on stage and in the film version.

In 2009 Hoult made his stage debut at London's Trafalgar Studios in New Boy, which is based on the novel by William Sutcliffe.
