Producers beware of meat cleavers and frying pans! Kara-Lynne Vaeni will direct a staged reading of THE REAL ACTORS OF NYC.

Susan Mosher (Hairspray), Robb Sapp (Wicked) and Catherine Russell (Perfect Crime) join cast members Nicholas Barnes, Jennifer Anderson, Jacob McKenna and Michael Millian. Book, Music and Lyrics by Richard Rodgers Award Winner Karlan Judd. Musical Direction by Will Shuler.

THE REAL ACTORS OF NYC is a dark, satirical look at the underbelly of Broadway Theatre and the politics that come with it. Jake, Jen and Nick are best friends and frustrated actors who've been through the ringer. Auditions, readings, showcases, casting couches (and elevators!), and everything in between. When a producer uses their talent and the tosses them aside...AGAIN...they've had enough. No matter what, they will debut on Broadway, even if it involves criminal activity (a hacked off pinky, clocking a producer with a frying pan, etc.). How far would you go to get what you want?

The reading is part of the Emerging Artists Theatre Spring New Works Series and will be held Wednesday, March 16th at 7pm at the Tada Theatre (15 West 28th Street). Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at www.tinyurl.com/realactors.
