On Friday, June 27th at 7:30 pm, the Episcopal Actors' Guild will host a screening of Stephanie Riggs' documentary The Standbys.

Every night, dozens of Broadway's most talented performers are not on stage. They're behind the curtain, ready to go on at a moment's notice. For several years, director Stephanie Riggs followed this special group of artists, capturing their struggles and triumphs as, night after night, they waited in the wings for one shot at their dream.

For theatre fans, The Standbys offers unparalleled backstage access to some of Broadway's biggest shows, as well as stories and insights from legendary performers like David Hyde Pierce, Bebe Neuwirth, Sutton Foster, and John Leguizamo.

Ticket includes wine, popcorn, and a Q&A with Stephanie Riggs. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the charitable programs of EAG, which offers financial support to New York performers "of all faiths, and none."

"A Triumph" - San Francisco Chronicle. "Evocative" - Playbill. "Critic's Pick" - New York Times
