Sarah Jones' lauded solo show Bridge and Tunnel will play Broadway's Helen Hayes Theatre (240 W. 44th St.) from January 13th through March 12th, 2006; opening night is set for January 26th.

Bridge and Tunnel, which was a critical and commercial hit when it ran from February 19th through August 15th 2004 at off-Broadway's 45 Bleecker Street Theatre, netted Jones an OBIE Award for Outstanding Performance. In the piece, Jones portrays over a dozen characters of varying nationalities and economic backgrounds; a Chinese mother and a Latina woman at a poetry slam are among Jones' personas in the show. Tony Taccone (Continental Divide), who directed the show off-Broadway and at the Berkeley Repertory Theatre, will return to stage the Broadway production.

The original off-Broadway production was produced by Meryl Streep, as well as by The Culture Project, Allan Buchman, Robert Dragotta, Jayson Jackson, Michael Alden, Eric Falkenstein, Marcia Roberts and Tom Wirt Shafter.

Jones, whose screen and TV credits include Spike Lee's Bamboozled, Lisa Picard is Famous, "Queer as Folk" and HBO's "Def Poetry Jam," previously performed in her works Waking the American Dream, Women Can't Wait and Surface Transit.

Tickets to Bridge & Tunnel can be ordered by calling 212 239-6200. To learn more about Jones, visit www.sarahjonesonline.com.
