Broadway stars responded in song to the LGBT suicides by recording "It Gets Better" by Jay Kuo and Blair Shepard.

Notable performers from Broadway included: Danny Calvert, Jacob Clemente, Matt Doyle, Ann Harada, Carly Jibson, Jose Llana, Orfeh, Christina Sajous, John Tartaglia, Marty Thomas, Stephanie Umoh and The Cagelles from La Cage. Broadway performers from past and current shows gathered on Friday to sing "It Gets Better" (music and lyrics by Jay Kuo ("Allegiance") and Blair Shepard) to provide support and inspiration to young people who are contemplating ending their own lives due to bullying and harassment. The single will be released as an mp3 on iTunes on Tuesday, October 19, and all proceeds from iTunes single will benefit The Trevor Project, which runs a national suicide prevention hotline for LGBT youth.
