Back in the 80s, Wonder Mike and Master Gee stunned the world with their breakthrough hip-hop single "Rapper's Delight" as members of The Sugarhill Gang. Now years later, they are still going hard in the music game with their New Group Rapper's Delight. Joined by Hendogg and DJ T Dynasty, they'll be performing the hits such as "Apache" aka "Jump on it" and "Rapper's Delight" as well as some new tracks like "The Lala Song". The Knitting Factory is pleased to welcome such living legends on the stage!

Turning this event into a "Block Party" of sorts, additional entertainment will include party band LYVA (among other supporting acts), breakdancing troupe the Dynamic Rockers and an 80s DJ. There will be something for everyone.

LYVA is an original band which plays infused indie pop music stretching across multiple genres. Each song embraces different elements ranging from latin to rock to reggae, all with a pop influence. LYVA's music is meant to move you on the inside and out, taking you on a journey far away from the hum drum of every day life.

The Dynamic Rockers is a breakdancing troupe which combines some of the moves from the streets with seamless choreography, injecting the highest levels of energy into the night. Other supporting acts will be announced within the next few weeks.
