A half-boy / half-bat creature will "fly" into The Tarrytown Music Hall May 1 and 3, when The Random Farms Kids Theater's teen company- The Edge - presents Bat Boy: The Musical.

Based on a cover story in The Weekly World News (which generated the newspaper's second-highest ever sales figures), Bat Boy is a musical comedy/horror show about a human-like creature discovered in a cave near Hope Falls, West Virginia.

With a score by Laurence O'Keefe, the composer of Legally Blonde, Bat Boy played on London's West End before opening off-Broadway in 2001. The play developed a cult following, similar to shows like Rocky Horror and Zombie Prom.

This production will be directed and choreographed by Marc Tumminelli, with musical direction by Justin Fischer.

The performances are Friday, May 1 at 8pm and Sunday, May 3 at 3pm. The theater is located at 13 Main Street in Tarrytown. Directions can be found at www.tarrytownmusichall.org.

Tickets for Bat Boy are $16 (children under 12 and seniors) and $18 (adults). To reserve seats, go to www.tarrytownmusichall.org or call 877-840-0457. Tickets will also be available at the door. Discounts are available for groups of 20 or more. For more information, visit Random Farms Kids Theater's website at www.randomfarms.com.
