In just a few days, the NYC Marathon kicks off at its traditional starting point; the Verrazano Bridge on beautiful Staten Island.

Picking up on marathon fever, join the Staten Island Children's Museum for a kids fun run-an Almost 1K Mustache Run - on the grounds of Snug Harbor Cultural Center & Botanical Gardens. Enjoy the fresh fall air, the colorful autumn colors and hop, skip, and run!

November is Mo-Vember or "No-Shave November" where people all over the world grow facial hair to bring attention to various men's cancers and their cures. Children will have the opportunity to make a mustache (or bring their own) to wear during the races.

All children three and up are welcome to participate and will receive a medal of participation, bottled water and an energy bar.

Come join the fun, get in the Marathon mood and get moving!
