Pivotal Productions and C.Y.O. Partner for STATEN ISLAND: SUMMER STAGE 2014, Beg. 8/4

Pivotal Productions, the non-profit educational theatre organization on Staten Island, announces its partnership with C.Y.O. Anderson Avenue. The alliance will provide highly educational and affordable summer theatre workshops to the youth of Staten Island: Summer Stage 2014.

The Pivotal Productions model strives to give students meaningful hands on experience in all facets of the broader realm of theatre. Workshops provided by Pivotal allow students to explore the roles within the inner workings of a theatre organization: artistic, technical and administrative. While Pivotal Productions offers students the opportunity to broaden their theatrical knowledge, this partnership will offer Pivotal an avenue to expand and inspire more of Staten Island's youth through the arts.

Summer Stage 2014 is Pivotal Production's 4-week intensive summer youth program, located at C.Y.O. Anderson Avenue (120 Anderson Ave. Staten Island, NY). Participants will enjoy four weeks fully immersed in a professional theatre environment; including acting, music, stage craft and overall team building exercises. Each child will play a vital role in the program's culmination: a full musical production of Seussical Jr.

Summer Stage 2014 will offer:

· 4 fun-filled weeks in a fully immersed theatre environment.

· Acting and stage technique workshops. - Including acting and improvisational games, focusing on developing the participants acting abilities and physical fitness. All games and activities will improve the students theatre skills in order to develop their end goal, the full musical production of SeussicalJr.

· Musical development workshops. - Including a focus on vocal techniques as well as partnered listening activities, to form one cohesive sound.

· Hands on experience in technical aspects and stage craft.

All students age 5-17 are encouraged to participate. Classes begin August 4th, running Monday - Thursday 10AM - 3PM, until August 28th. For just $300 your child could have the summer theatre experience of a lifetime. (Wait, isn't that cheaper than a month of daycare?)
