After closing its exuberant production of She Loves Me this Sunday, Princeton Summer Theater immediately leapt into preparations for its next mainstage show, Crimes of the Heart, opening July 4. Check out production photos below!

2012 Princeton Summer Theater Artistic Director Daniel Rattner returns to direct Beth Henley's Pulitzer-winning Crimes of the Heart. A fierce sense of humor and a poignant rendering of one family's trials and tribulations make this southern Gothic melodrama a true tour de force. The play is a day in the lives of the Magrath sisters of Hazlehurst, Mississippi. Things just can't seem to go right for these three women, from lightning striking Lenny's horse to Babe shooting her own husband. Over 24 hours, they realize the necessity of family in spite of its frustrations, challenges, and eccentricities.

Performances are July 4th-14th, Thursday-Saturday at 8pm and Saturday and Sunday at 2pm. Tickets are $25 general, $20 for students. Enjoy a cupcake reception generously provided by Princeton's own House of Cupcakes to follow the Sunday, July 7th matinee of Crimes of the Heart!
