Acclaimed British Playwright Tom Stoppard's new play, The Hard Problem, will be presented in HD on the big screen at the Peterbrough Players on Sunday, May 3rd at 4 p.m.

Stoppard (Shakespeare in Love, Arcadia, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead) returns to the National Theatre with his highly-anticipated new play The Hard Problem, directed by Nicholas Hytner (Othello, Hamlet, One Man, Two Guvnors). The production is currently playing to sold-out audiences in London through May 27th.

Hilary (played by Olivia Vinall of Dr. Who), a young psychology researcher at a brainscience institute, is nursing a private sorrow and a troubling question at work, where psychology and biology meet. If there is nothing but matter, what is consciousness? This is 'the hard problem' which puts Hilary at odds with her colleagues who include her first mentor Spike (played by Damien Molony of Ripper Street), her boss Leo and the billionaire founder of the institute, Jerry. Is the day coming when the computer and the MRI scanner will answer all the questions psychology can ask? Meanwhile Hilary needs a miracle, and she is prepared to pray for one.

London Observer calls it "Stimulating. Absorbing. A rich, ideas-packed work." The Evening Standard writes, "Intellectually charged. Pulses with interesting ideas. Elegantly interpreted."

Tickets are $20 (students with valid ID $15). They can be purchased with major credit card by calling the Box Office (603) 924-7585 or visiting PlayersTix.com online.
