The nature of story itself is a fascinating subject to explore. Who owns the rights to our story? To our privacy? A teacher and respected author mentors a young writer, who decides to base her novel on her mentor's secret affair with famed poet, Delmore Schwartz. Their conflict raises deep moral questions about the creative process and artistic responsibility. The gripping, insightful, and sharply-written relationship between mentor and protegee is featured in an unforgettable drama. NHTP presents Collected Stories, directed by Monique Foote, starring Genevieve Aichele and Amy Desrosiers.

March 20, 2024New Hampshire Theatre Project will continue to celebrate its 2023-24 season theme of What's Your Story? with its spring production of Donald Margulies' unforgettable drama Collected Stories, a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize in 1997.
New Hampshire Theatre Project Announces 2021-22 MainStage Season
August 05, 2021Emerging from an 18-month pandemic-induced hiatus from MainStage productions, NHTP is planning only four major productions this season, with many additional outreach activities, guest appearances and Elephant-in-the-Room Series programs to be announced at a later date.
School Safety in the 21st Century with NH Theatre Project's ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM
March 27, 2019New Hampshire Theatre Project's Elephant-in-the-Room Series continues with the topic of School Safety in the 21st Century, featuring Poster 528, a compilation of readings on the issue of school safety. Sources include Parkland by Dave Cullen, A Mother's Reckoning: Living in the Aftermath of Tragedy by Sue Klebold, The School Shooter: A Threat Assessment Perspective by Maryellen O'Toole/Department of Justice, and numerous articles, surveys, poems and personal stories collected by Genevieve Aichele, assisted by Tim Barretto, Kolby Hume and Catherine Stewart. New Hampshire Theatre Project is partnering with the Portsmouth Police Department on this program, and any donations at the door will benefit the PPD.
