Master of comedy, Christopher Durang, takes characters and themes from Chekhov, pours them into a blender and mixes them up. The utterly hilarious and occasionally touching result is his latest play sent in present day Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Vanya (Bernard DiCasimirro) and his adopted sister Sonia (Beverly Spangler) have lived their entire lives in their family's farmhouse. While they stayed home to take care of their ailing parents, their sister Masha (Susan Wray Danowitz) has been gallivanting around the world as a successful actress and movie star, leaving Vanya and Sonia to feel trapped and regretful. Their soothsayer/cleaning woman Cassandra (Denise Carman) keeps warning them about terrible things in the future, which include a sudden visit from Masha and her twenty-something boy toy Spike (TC Via).

Also starring Kat Allison as Nina and directed by Oyster Mill veteran Lois Heagy, this show will give you an evening of non-stop laughter!

Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike is produced by special arrangement with Dramatists Play Service, Inc.
