A New York Actor Works the Background and Speaks Without Speaking.

A new solo play written and performed by Geralyn Cassidy, directed by George Bartenieff, making its world premiere at United Solo, is now a bestseller. OUT OF FOCUS, in part, is based on Cassidy's own experience working in the background in film and television in NYC. She plays background actor, Happy Ness, as well as casting directors, crew members, makeup artists, actors and a few surprises that give voice to surroundings beyond the foreground.
