Casus, Australia's hottest new contemporary circus company, makes its U.S. premiere at the off-Broadway New Victory Theater with Knee Deep from March 21 - 30. Tinged with humor and immersed in cool, Knee Deep is a mesmerizing mix of acrobatic adagios, aerial feats and astonishing individual acts that explore the beautiful and delicate balance between human resilience and fragility.

In Knee Deep, the four members of Casus (Emma Serjeant, Jesse Scott, Natano Fa'anana and Lachaln McAulay) challenge human strength and agility while demonstrating the emotional capacity of the body's physical language. Every moment counts during this hour-long show as the talented quartet flows from hand-to-hand acrobatics to silks and trapeze in a lyrical amalgam of circus, theater and music. Aided by little more than an evocative score, an onstage camera, live projection and a surprising use of eggs, Knee Deep keeps the performers and acts at the forefront, revealing not only the sheer skill and fortitude of the cast, but also their graceful humanity in this hypnotizing circus experience.

Based in Brisbane, Casus fuses a wealth of knowledge and experience as former members of C!RCA, Flying Fruit Fly Circus, Legs on the Wall, Polytoxic and Briefs Collective. Touring worldwide, Knee Deep is their premiere work and has already garnered this flourishing new company two awards at the 2013 Brighton Festival: an Argus Angel Award for Artistic Excellence and a Latest Award for Best International Act.
