Kate Mueth and the Neo-Political Cowgirls are proud to announce a summer of bold, new, Hamptons based work.

B(e)rd, examines the relationship between birds and humans in 20 minutes of music and movement, wine and art. In a collaboration of visual and performance art, Kate Mueth and The Neo-Political Cowgirls don their signature feathered headdresses to present this short and thought provoking piece. B(e)rd will be performed against the backdrop of artist Vivien Bittencourt's exhibition "Captiva" at the Ille Arts Gallery in Amagansett, NY. Bittencourt says of her observation of birds, "Their group movements are beautiful; they are lIke Ballets, or streets in rush hour." This performance brings her words and images to life. A portion of ticket proceeds will benefit Quoque Wildlife Refuge. All headdresses are made by Nancy Cardoso. Performances run July 21-24 at 7:30 & 8:30 pm. All tickets are $10 and include a complimentary glass of wine. Tickets can be purchased here.

Following B(e)rd, is a myth for the modern masses: Andromeda. Set under the stars on The Edge of Montauk, a girl and her mother are in search of home. Their journey takes them to a strange village where danger and magic really set in. Featuring a cast of local Hamptons and NYC actors, and puppets by award-winner Liz Joyce, Andromeda is a unique, outdoor, music-filled experience that is not to be missed. Audience members are encouraged to bring a pre-performance picnic. Andromeda will be performed August 25-28 at the Montauk County Park. All performances begin at 7:30. Tickets will be available starting July 1 at http://www.npcowgirls.org. All tickets are $20.

Tired of adulting? Let's mermaid, shall we? This summer, The Neo-Political Cowgirls will also be offering "Mermaid Camp", a four-day interactive workshop for women. Spanning over four Saturdays in July, NPC's "Mermaid Camp" is a special space for women to stretch their creativity and dive deep into their current ideas and thoughts. Through journaling, movement, and dance/theater exploration, this workshop encourages participants to transform their personal discoveries into self-directed pieces of work. Mermaid Camp is a gift to your SELF. This workshop runs July 9-30. $100 for all 4 workshops, or $40 per drop-in. To register email: http://www.npcowgirls.org.
