Philanthropist and Producer, Gene Fisch, Jr. has aggregated a distinguished panel of Emmy Award Winners and Broadway Producers to review some of New York's most aspiring writers. "The objective was to create an opportunity that legitimately introduces new writers to the industry's decision makers. It's the first festival of its kind as each panelist is either a Broadway Producer or is an executive involved with an Emmy Award winning show", says Fisch. Because of this opportunity to work with genuine decision makers in the industry, numerous authors from the 2014 Festival have generated interest for their projects to move on to the next level!

NYNW is a theatre competition in which the audience and the NYNW Panelists cast their votes to select the best project of the season. Pieces move from the 1st Round to the Semi-Finals and then to the Finals. The Festival's venue is the Times Square Arts Center, located at 300 West 43rd Street, only a block off of Broadway, in the heart of the world's premier theatre district.

Dates for the 2015 Festival are:

First Round - August 18th, 19st, 20th and 25th, 26th, 27th

Semi-Finals - September 1st, 2nd, and 3rd

Finals - Sept 14th

First Prize includes $500.00 and the opportunity for the author's production to be aired on a local media outlet. All have the opportunity to "audition" for industry decision makers through their submissions. Fisch adds, "Mentors have the ability to change lives. This festival provides each artist with their "brass ring" shot at being exposed to individuals who can have a significant impact on their careers."
