"LIKE YOU LIKE IT" takes place in 1985 at the brand new Arden Mall, where there is going to be a high school dance. Straight-A babe Rosalind wants to go with varsity wrestler Orlando, but she is too shy to face him. Rosalind disguises herself as a frat dude named Corey and learns Orlando's true feelings for her. Things get tricky when "Corey" complicates the lives of three other couples at Arden, and Rosalind must show up at the dance as both herself AND Corey.

Creators SAMMY BUCK and DANIEL S. ACQUISTO were introduced to each other by "AVENUE Q" creators Jeff Marx and Bobby Lopez. "LIKE YOU LIKE IT" was the 2004 Winner of the inaugural National Music Theater Network and The Theater for the American Musical NEW VOICES prize. The show has made its rounds through the BMI Workshop (Maury Yeston, moderator) ASCAP Workshop (Stephen Schwartz, moderator), and the Dramatists Guild Jonathan Larson Fellowship program - under the tutelage of Lynn Ahrens & Stephen Flaherty and mentors Richard Maltby Jr. & David Shire. "LIKE YOU LIKE IT" has been read and showcased at the Century Center's Musical Mondays, the National Alliance for Musical Theatre and the York Theatre. The production will be helmed by Jen Bender who assisted director Jason Moore on the 2004 Tony Award winning "AVENUE Q." Choreography is by Stephen Nachamie.

Featured in the cast of "LIKE YOU LIKE IT" are MICHELE RAGUSA ("URINETOWN," "RAGTIME," "TITANIC," "A CLASS ACT" and the upcoming "SHE LOVES ME" at the Paper Mill Playhouse) and JOSHUA PARK (Tom Sawyer in "TOM SAWYER). Dedicated to discovering new works, new artists and creating new stars, NYMF will do for musical theatre what Sundance does for independent film: celebrate its diversity, creativity and future. NYMF is proudly supported by Time Out New York, AM New York, NYC and Company, Lindemanns, HX, Theatermania, Next, Gang Run Direct Printers, broadwayworld.com and Galvanic Printing, and is predicted to be the largest musical theater event in New York City's history.
