New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) has announced NJPAC Stage Exchange: Ironbound, presented at the Academy of Elizabethtown, 66 Caldwell Place, Elizabeth, NJ Friday, October 10, 2014 at 7PM. Reserve your free tickets to this show at NJPAC.org or 888.GO.NJPAC (888.466.5722).

NJPAC Stage Exchange: Ironbound features prestigious playwrights from New Jersey and plays developed in the Garden State - and panels of artists, scholars, community leaders and newsmakers - each evening will use a work-in-progress to spur discussion on important issues in the state and nation, leading the way to deeper understandings of concerns we all face. Admission is free.

In the industrial wastelands of New Jersey, an immigrant Polish woman waits for the bus after a long day. Sometimes, when she misses the bus, she sleeps on a bench or in an abandoned factory. A man always appears, and he has something to offer. This play examines the lives and personal choices immigrants make to participate in the American Dream. Ironbound was commissioned for the Smith Prize, which honors a play that deals with relevant political issues. Ironbound is presented at the Academy of Elizabethtown, 66 Caldwell Place, Elizabeth, NJ.
