Douglas Evans, producer of the invitation-only industry reading scheduled for November 18th and 19th of the new musical drama Walllenberg, announced today that Matt Bogart (Jersey Boys) will perform the role of Raoul Wallenberg and lead a cast of Broadway performers including Sierra Boggess (Little Mermaid, Les Miserables tour and West End production of Love Never Dies) and Tony Award-winner Dick Latessa (Hairspray).

"We are fortunate to have such talented Broadway stars bringing to life the heroic efforts and actions of Raoul Wallenberg to the stage. If it wasn't for Mr. Wallenberg, over 100,000 lives would have been lost in Budapest over the course of six months in 1945," said producer Evans.

Director Karen Carpenter (Love, Loss and What I Wore) is joined by music director Darren Cohen (A Chorus Line and Chicago National Tours). The musical was written by the 2006 Kleban Award-winning team of Laurence Holzman and Felicia Needleman, with music by Benjamin Rosenbluth. More information at www.WallenbergTheMusical.com.

The readings will take place at the Clurman Theatre on Monday, November 18th at 11AM and 3PM, and on Tuesday the 19th at 11AM.
