Lena Hall, Anthony Rapp and More Take Part in Reading of Danny Strong's New Rock Musical GALILEO

The New York Post writes that Danny Strong (THE HUNGER GAMES) held a world premiere reading of his new rock musical GALILEO yesterday afternoon, October 28.

A source told the post: "The cast had the most amazing voices...Everyone felt it was Broadway-bound."

The cast allegedly featured Tony winner Lena Hall (HEDWIG), Anthony Rapp (IF/THEN) and Bradley Dean (THE LAST SHIP).

In the audience were producers Lee Daniels, Daryl Roth, John Goldwyn, Scott Sanders and Rob Ashford.

GALILEO feaures music by Michael Weiner and lyrics by Adam Abraham. No word yet on the plot or contenders for the creative team, but BWW will keep you updated as we learn more about the project!

Among Strong's writing credits are The Hunger Games franchise (including the highly anticipated Mockingjay films), Lee Daniel's The Butler and the upcoming movie adaptation of The Lost Symbol, as well as the new TV series Empire.
