Joe Hurley's 19th Annual All-Star Irish Rock Revue returns to Highline Ballroom for one-night-only, Sat March 11th !

For 19 years, NYC singer-songwriter-actor Joe Hurley has saluted his Irish heritage with a blazing musical extravaganza that celebrates Ireland's musical gifts to the world. The All-Star Irish Rock Revue has long been a beloved NYC institution-performing to sold out audiences at Bowery Ballroom, Webster Hall, Lincoln Center & since 2010 at Highline Ballroom.

Hosted by acclaimed songwriters Edward Rogers & Joe Hurley, The All-Star Irish Rock Revue kicks off at 6:45pm with a mad parade of extraordinary singers taking the stage as dozens of Guest Stars dive into the 'Great Irish Songbook' performing the timeless classics of Thin Lizzy, U2, The Pogues, Van Morrison, The Undertones, SLF, Morrissey, John Lydon, Boomtown Rats, Dubliners, Sinead, Trad beauties & Rebel Songs.

From the punk of The Undertones 'Teenage Kicks' to the soul of Van's ' Caravan', the pure rock bliss of Thin Lizzy's 'The Boys Are Back in Town' to the poetry of ' Salley Gardens' & 'Dirty Old Town' the songs of the Irish are sung by a wildly diverse group from all cultural backgrounds.

Author/Singer Alphie McCourt, Bill Gerstel of Rogue's March, Rick Budo (photographer), Frank Murray (Pogues mgr) Adam Roth (Guitarist) - all of whom were involved in the All-Star Irish Rock Revue.

Joe Hurley & Rogue's March will perform a mini-set within the Concert. The legendary Irish R&R band, soon to announce their 20th Anniv Shows, will feature original members with Steve Goulding replacing the late Bill Gerstel. Rogue's March are featured on SONY MUSIC's "Essential Irish Drinking Songs" with Hurley's ballad "Amsterdam Mistress", alongside classics by the Pogues, Dubliners and the Clancys.

Joe Hurley, Keith Richards & Johnny Depp's 23 CD Box Set 'LIFE' was the winner of 2 Audie Awards, including 'Audiobook Of The Year'. Hurley's CD with National Book Award Winner Colum McCann, ' Let The Great World Spin' was termed 'Magnificent ' NEW YORK POST.

Hurley is the Artistic Director of Ourland Fest. The 3 Stage Fest debuted at Lincoln Center, was the subject of 2 PBS Specials, and featured the All Star Irish Rock Revue as its finale.

A London-bred, Irish-blooded New Yorker, Hurley leads 2 Bands, Rogue's March & The Gents. He has sung with The Chieftains, Shane MacGowan, Flogging Molly, Marianne Faithfull, PJ Harvey, Prefab Sprout, Judy Collins, Sam Shepard, among many. He has performed at Lincoln Centre, Central Park, Summerstage, Delacorte Theatre, Public Theatre, Warped Tour, Guinness Fleadhs & toured globally.

Widely heralded for the emotive quality of his deep, gravel-tinged baritone, " Joe Hurley is one of the city's deepest pop singers,both in his vocal range and in the level of his soulfulness. His recent interpretation of 'One For My Baby' was mesmerizing " THE NEW YORKER

'SING AN IRISH CLASSIC FOR JACK'

The Irish Rock Revue will be fundraising for Jack Silbert, featuring "Sing an Irish Classic For Jack"

The lucky winner's name will be drawn from a hat on the night, & will head to the Highline stage to belt out an Irish Rock Classic, backed up by The Mighty All-Star Irish Rock Revue Band !

Jack Silbert is a Hoboken writer, editor, emcee, DJ,& music obsessive. His writing has appeared in publications from the NY Times to Weird New Jersey, and he has authored many books for both children and adults. Jack is a frequent volunteer in his community. He has attended every show of The Irish Revue's 19 year history.

Complications from recent surgery resulted in the amputation of both of Jack's legs below the knee.

100% of all proceeds will go directly to Jack to aid him in his recovery & rehabilitation.

Since 2006 The Irish Rock Revue has been sponsored by Gibson Guitars, who custom-made a Tri-Colour Guitar for Hurley. It is the only one in the world and is used on the show closer 'God Save The Queen' by John Lydon.
