Jason Bateman and Rebecca Hall to Topline Joel Edgerton's Film Directorial Debut

According to Deadline, ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT's Jason Bateman will lead Joel Edgerton's first project as director.

With working title WEIRDO, the film will feature Bateman and Rebecca Hall as a "husband and wife who seek to reinvigorate their relationship with a fresh beginning in a new town, only to have their life disrupted by a 'friend' from the past."

Bateman has now directed two films -- Bad Words and The Family Fang. As an actor, he has recently appeared in the Horrible Bosses movies, This Is Where I Leave You, The Longest Week, Identity Thief and more.

Hall, who recently starred on Broadway in Machinal, will next be seen in Tumbledown. Among her recent big screen credits are Transcendence, Iron Man 3, The Awakening and more.

Edgerton, who currently appears in theaters in Exodus: Gods and Kings, will soon star in Jane Got a Gun, Life, Black Mass and Midnight Special. He has also appeared in the films Felony, The Great Gatsby, Zero Dark Thirty and more.
